District 6 Members and State of Michigan NEREs!

Welcome to MAGE-OPEIU LOCAL 2002 …

DISTRICT 6 MEETING:  MAGE-OPEIU’s District 6 will meet quarterly to provide a floor for you to voice your employment concerns, provide suggestions for improving current practices, and/or establish any needed sub-committees.  District Director,  Karen Flagg can be reached at karenatmage@gmx.com or District Deputy Director Lori Simon can be reached at simon@chartermi.net.  Alternately, leave a detailed message at 517/372-3873.

This is the first newsletter specifically for MAGE-OPEIU’S District 6 (Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Livingston County) members.   Becoming a member entitles you to member-exclusive benefits.  Those benefits have a higher value than annual member dues.   Check it out!

WHAT CAN MAGE DO FOR YOU? Are you constantly stressed with back-to-back assignments that require multi-multi-tasking?  Are you being harassed by your supervisor and/or mid- to upper-management?  Do you feel minimized and defeated?

While your supervisor has access to Human Resource staff who support and work in their defense, who stands up for you?  Should the need arise; it would be difficult for you to research how to file a grievance, filing timelines and options, without professional assistance and/or representation.  Are you aware that MAGE has staff on board who are experts in labor relations and are actively engaged in helping us retain our jobs?  MAGE-OPEIU’s labor relations staff stay abreast of the latest labor and arbitration laws, and are highly qualified to facilitate you should the need arise.  THIS IS BUT ONE REASON YOU NEED MAGE.   Keep reading…

Only MAGE members have the assurance that they will not be “The Lone NERE” left to face not only their supervisor, but also the state’s very experienced labor relation staff.  Should you find yourself in a hostile work environment, and a situation where you need to file a grievance, and/or in a battle with management to save your job, it would be in your best interest to have MAGE there to guide and represent you.

Do not wait until you find yourself in need of help.  You do not have to stand alone to defend yourself!  You will not know you will need help, until YOU REALLY NEED HELP.  Become a member now, before you really need help!  Give yourself a fighting chance by being protected under the MAGE-OPEIU umbrella.  Call 1/800-477-6243- NOW!
