District Meetings

District 4 Meeting:  A meeting will be held for District 4 members on February 17 at 6:00 p.m.  at Sam's Joint, 1-96 Coopersville Exit 19 (just south of

District #5 Meeting:  A meeting will be held February 22, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bavarian Inn of Frankenmuth, 713 South Main St., Frankenmuth, MI  

48731.  We will provide dinner, and give-aways.   We will have guest speakers and we will be electing delegates and alternates to attend the General

Board of Directors Meetings for FY 09/10

Immediately following the General Council Meeting May 15, 2010 at the Comfort Inn, Mt. Pleasant

The following are the deadlines for General Council . . .

Districts are required (MAGE Bylaws) to have a meeting prior to MARCH 15 each year to elect delegates and alternates to attend the General Council meeting. A report of such election shall be filed with the MAGE office immediately following the election, but in no case later than March 15. Delegate election results received after March 15 are no longer accepted. Please make sure you send us correct address and phone numbers of your delegates/alternates. Alternates ARE expected to attend! Please note that this year your membership lists may include SUSPENDED members (S dues code). Suspended members are not eligible to be delegates or alternates.

Resolutions must be postmarked by March 15 - Please read the bylaws for guidelines on how to file the resolutions. There are different rules for districts, committees and individual members. Resolutions to change the Bylaws cannot be submitted as late resolutions at General Council.

Nomination Applications must be postmarked by March 15 - or the member may run from the floor during the General Council session. A Board approved motion states that each applicant’s picture and a biography will be printed in the IMAGE. Therefore, applicants will be asked to provide those when returning the application.

Administrative Leave Request Forms - for DELEGATES ONLY (alternates are not eligible) must be received in the MAGE office by April 13.

Delegates and alternates need to have their reservations in by April 13.   If they cannot attend they need to notify us ASAP. Hotel Reservations- must be received in the MAGE office by April 13 to guarantee an overnight room - after that date we cannot guarantee availability.
